My father had a Zippo lighter in his pocket that was half chewed through by a Homelite XL12 some time in the late 1960's. Mom sewed up the pants and he bought a new lighter.

In my youth, I got REALLY lucky... I'd been running a saw all day long and I hooked my jeans with it, but missed my leg.
Lesson learned: Run the Fkn saw, when you get fatigued and the saw is running you, put the MFr down!

One of my (many) mantras in business was "I'd rather have fewer staff but better staff"
Invest in good people, not just in monetary terms, and they will repay you. Too many board-level people have zero idea of the massive cost in hiring and training up new staff members.
