While I'm not super huge on the 2nd amendment for a lot of reasons I've got nothing against you taking out predators on your land with a handful of exceptions based largely on me not knowing where you live and what kinds of animals live near you. While I doubt you could take 3 to 1 just because the numbers game means 2 of them don't even need to really aim at you. Just fire close enough that you stay put while the third moves around. Lets say you really are fucking John Wick. For every one of you who not only can take 3 -1 but have enough food and water that waiting you out isn't a realistic option for every one of you how many people are there that would be absolutely worthless? How many children (For the rest of this I'm child basically means prepubescent. Large enough to physically carry and effectively wield a firearm. Yes I'm aware children younger than that can but the line has to be drawn someplace. How many too old to be effective. My father generally uses a walker but he NEEDS his cane to go any descent distance. He can get up and down the stairs, use the bathroom, BBQ that kind of stuff. But he's not going to Vons without a cane. My mother is n better shape. My brothers are only in their 50s and not helpless by any means but they aren't running a mile in under fifteen minutes.

I could go down the list but lets face it. If the mlitary turned we're toast. As I pointed out they don't even need to go on offense. Set up perimeters around water, power, gas a few blockades on major shipments for trains and trucks and just wait for the hunger to knock out most of the population. We're not winning this in that world. I don't know how likely I think it is but still.

While I'm not sure how much faith I would put in the troops even under ideal circumstances you do still end up running into similar problems unless the cut is straight Enlisted v Officers. IF that happens its over before it begins. Not just the numbers game but officers at least in many MOSs are the college kids who got to be managers without too much hands on. The guy who runs lets just say Walmart cus that may be the best example for many. The Manager of Walmart doesn't (At least not for their job) know shit about gardening, painting, video games, children's toys or what brand of blender is the most reliable. They can't function without the "Support" The support would in the absence of officers figure it out sooner than later. If they didn't already have some idea of who should be running things.

The other guys are probably putting forces on securing supply lines and denying them to the people running their operation out of abandoned warehouses.

I had forgotten the exact context of it. iT would be interesting the same president who likes taking the guns early was also the guy who put someone in charge of deporting people who stated that if we had to give trials to these people we would never get anywhere.
