Jeez, NJ has the trifecta.

High sales tax
High income taxes and
High property taxes

However, even with the new gas tax a few years ago, we have cheap gas and are the only state left where you don’t have to pump your own.

Win! (Jk… I could care less abt who pumps my gas)

That's what we're afraid of here. The politicians keep trying to sell a state income tax by saying property taxes and sales tax can be "lowered" (not eliminated). I know they both will just creep back up.

We already have a transit tax imposed on us when we pay our vehicle registration each year. It was voted down but the politicians instituted it anyway. It's infuriating because vehicle values are artificially inflated for maximum tax. Also, there is NO transit in my area. So I get ZERO benefit.

They are. It for everyone. Mrs wonderer is not a huge fan. She knows how to use one in an emergency, but she’d rather not have to deal with it.

And if water infiltrates tanks, it’s likely the gasoline is permeating into the groundwater. Be aware if anyone is using that groundwater for their drinking water.

Maybe I'm weird. I've always enjoyed the foods that a lot of people don't like.
The wife hates a lot of the food I would choose to eat. Some stuff like sauerkraut makes me feel better when I eat it...

A few more hours and the wife can take her heart monitor holter test thingy off. She's really itching for a shower!

I don't like fermented foods. I won't eat sauerkraut, kombucha, or kimchee. I do like yoghurt.

The lavender would be a deal breaker for me. Allergies to it. I would probably substitute it for sandalwood or fresh cut grass with gasoline if I'm feeling cute.

Took mom to costco.... it was a mad house...then we went to whole foods for bread and beer..... back at my parents to unload

Not all Costcos have the same things. I'll read about something amazing on IG, go looking for it in my Costco, and not find it. So irritating!

Tried to sleep Saturday afternoon but the kitty, doggy, kiddy and wifey kept traipsing thru the room asking questions. It wasn't until I didn't cook dinner that it ambled thru their minds that I needed a clomp thru dream land. I slept until 0200, got up hobbled thru a shower and went to work.

Mom is fine but we need to have a "come to Jesus" meeting about missing her doc appointments. No more!

Well home after a busy weekend. Saturday I was in Birmingham for a conference with 4.5 hours driving each way so up at 3.00 am and home @ 9.00pm. Fortunately my pal drove but the sodding clocks went forward an hour!

Today I was up at 05.30 to drive 6 honours to see my mum on Mother’s Day. Well worth it and we even walked to the local art gallery .. about a mile despite her stroke in December…. Incredible woman!

Sounds like a pretty great weekend, despite the driving, getting up early, and sodding time change. Good for your mum!

My naps tend to be 2-4 hours. They're lovely, but totally screw up my nighttime sleeping!
