Currently, I'm in the emergency room here at 0230 after driving my mom here.

They are directed to take her to Booneville hospital because we live in the sticks.

It's where you go when you averaged a 2.9 in med school. We've all heard of these hospitals.

So I drove her myself. She would never let me or anyone else take her Booneville.

Try not to stress about the weight gain. Your body wants to hold onto it, so it retains water as you're losing fat. The water will go in a day or two and you'll drop the weight. Try concentrating on your measurements or how your clothes are fitting. That's a better measure of your progress, sometimes, than the scale.

I'm in a program that wants daily numbers. They sent everyone a wi-fi scale that transmits the weigh-ins to the program directly. I pushed back to weekly. Then I informed them I would looking at numbers once a month or less. Anything more would be counter-productive to weight loss and my MH. They get the data they need and I keep the numbers in the boundaries I need.

It's also a distraction.

I bet if I lived closer one of our guys would help me.... just helping by listening to me whinge is very helpful...

My friend was the caterer I helped him..... we were out of there by 4 then I sat on the front porch until freeking mosquitos came out..... it was a beautiful day

Damn. Long day.

Firewood this morning and around noon Mrs wonderer and I turned our attention to the garden.

Took down a fence, weeded, cleaned up the beds. Then put down compost and prepped the beds. Planted five diff variety of beets.

Got my pumpkins started and growing indoors under grow lights.

Made dinner.

True to form, every team we like has lost in basketball since Thursday!

Variety is the spice of life!

Like any other variety or vegetable or fruit, they have different taste, texture and shape characteristics.

I planted four varieties of red beets and one white. Some have smooth skin and others are not. They also taste slightly different.

Plus I will enter more into different categories for the 4H fair.

Lastly - the greens all have different texture and taste.

As a side note, I probably have 20-30 different varieties of pumpkin and gourd seeds. Maybe 15-20 of sunflowers.
