The power pack is no biggie... where the morning REALLY gets good, is the 10 man crew that we were supposed to haul to the platform arrived. Turns out, they're supposed to stay on the boat for the duration of the job (estimated 2 weeks)... no groceries were ordered, no cook was contracted...
Max capacity of my vessel is 16 people, it's maxed. Thus far, my Monday has been a full blown shitshow before the sun even came up....
But at least I didn't get struck by lightning!

Don't count the lightning out! Do those rigs get hit by lightning? I imagine they do and you have Ben Franklin's invention to protect them?

I have a few times. I have distant relatives there.

Go to all of the usual touristy places. Tiergarten, brandenburg gate, reichstag. They’re all nearby. There’s patched up bullet holes all over the place in former East Berlin.

Berlin Wall is still in a few places. East side gallery and the wall museum. There’s a nice one near the flea market in Maurpark too. Flea market is pretty good - open Sundays only in memory serves.

There a ton of cool old buildings and museums to explore too in the central and east Berlin part. Nice old churches and the old East German tv tower.

U-bahn and s-bahn (subways) are cheap and fairly easy and intuitive. The zoo is amazing.

Wow! Thanks.......reminds me of a whorehouse I went to in Frankfurt. Love flea markets. Love the old churches, bet they are empty like the rest of Europe. I can ride the rails OK, might get a 5 day Eurail pass.

I've caught up (for the moment) on a Monday night. Today was my last day with the fam. We all go home tomorrow. Frankly, I'm ready. Almost two weeks has been a long time to be away. My little girl has been nearly perfect! The kids were so glad to see her; probably more than me!

I may go fishing maybe Wednesday or Thursday . Made friends w a neighbor in the rv park and he had a boatload of fishing poles for me to use.

Right now redfish and drum seem to be most prevalent. Good way to pass the day.

A day fishing is never wasted... time I thought about that too... I will see what the weather is like next week

Our apples didn't to much last year. They better do something this year! A raccoon got most of the peaches last year.

I have several dozen fruit trees in, and now understand why farmers kill everything! One deer or raccoon can ruin a whole season!

I just have 4 apple trees and raspberry canes... I just finished pruning the apples so we will see what crop we get this year

Raspberries and black berries are under several feet of snow here yet. Apples and cherries are due for some pruning once the ground gets bare.

What kills our apple crop is early warm spells. Sometimes we get a good thaw and they bloom before the bees seem to make it out. Or they bloom and then we get snow for a week. No apples those years.

I took a train from Munich to Berlin. 5 hrs, the 1st class upgrade was like 10 euro - cheap. See the ground move by you at 220kph.

I think I had the best shrimp I’ve ever tasted last night. Mrs wonderer and I got a shrimp cocktail and DAMN was it good!

Mrs wonderer likes it so much she ordered another one for dinner.

I ordered broiled flounder for dinner, and I’ve never had it served this way, but they gave me a whole flounder, minus the head! It was really good though, but I had to get in between all those rib bones.

Damn fine meal.
