They met when Riggio hosted a campaign fundraiser for her at a restaurant Riggio owned. She claims it was 'love at first sight' (and likely consummated in the restaurant ladies room at the end of the evening).
She parlayed a part time gig as a video instruction teacher for Project 2025 to a position as Mr. Trump's press secretary.
She became infamous during her first press briefing when she announced that Trump had personally stopped former President Joe Biden from delivering "$50 million dollars for condoms in Gaza". A devout Roman Catholic, Leavitt believes all forms of birth control, including condoms, should be outlawed and that President Joe Biden, who is also Catholic, is going to hell for not obeying the Pope.
