But, alas, she is a lab so the most she's ever done is smell a crotch and run and hide behind my wife.

I miss you too! I've only been getting on with my phone lately. It's hard to type on this thing. This summer I'll be back!Hey, girlie! I've missed you on here! Hugs back!![]()
This summer! I'm always more social during summerGreat to see you Impy but be better to have you join us more in due course
I love how you illustrated the Mandela effect! The word "never" never was in the original lyric yet so many of us remember it that way. I was last week years old when I learned this. I even dug out my old cassette just to verify.
I amTake care of you, You!!!
Day. Humans.
The plumbers loaded their stuff into my new semi trailer storage thingie. There was a whiff of stale. His helper said he couldn't do it. The smell reminded him of how he got here, stuffed in one of those things with 70 of his closest strangers. Smells make for powerful memories.
The nice resident in 201 told me she moved here to be near her only son and his two kids. Sonny spanked one of his kids. She took him to task for it, reminding him that she had never spanked him, not once. She hasn't been allowed to speak to any of them since last October 3.
My landlady for the week keeps wanting to know if I need anything. Treated a bit more like a sensible adult would be nice. At least I'm not answering, "fuck you."
I may be over people for the day . . . .
I ended up getting a 100% on my paper with a great review!Make sure you get your certificate and not some damned Self Esteem award.
Just sayin' . . . .
Woot woot!!I ended up getting a 100% on my paper with a great review!![]()

Sounds like a great day!Plan for the day: drink coffee, walk the mall in the morning and park this afternoon, find a new PCP, meet son for dinner, run errands and enjoy the 60+ day!
She’s a great lady. Smart as the day is long. Intuitive. You really have a great boss. Have a nice day ahead, dear. Take care
Glad it’s going well!Nursing duty is coming along fine. Have helped w a couple of showers now but she hasn’t let me wash her hair yet. She gets her check up on Thursday, so I bet I get some beauty salon training manåna. Wonder if I can pass the test?
That sounds like good healthy parenting, if ya ask me.We're trying to instill some of that type of perspective into our children. It's a hard thing to teach when you don't live like that.
We're not poor, so they've never gone hungry and always had a warm comfortable place to sleep. We tried to make them earn for themselves, encouraged them to work, taught what savings are for. Even when we've had 'tough times' there has always been plenty. My fear is those lessons won't instill the same perspective my grandparents had.
It appears they understand the value of an education and are taking that seriously. So, I think some of it sticking.
I hear that!I may be over people for the day
I was somewhat familiar with Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop. Not a fan per se but familiar.I love how you illustrated the Mandela effect! I followed that just fineAnd people-y, people. Not necessarily bad. But people-y. Or people dealing with people-y people.
I know what I am trying to say. I just can’t articulate it.
Very eloquent. To be clear, I'm not hearting the atrocities of man.
I'm hearting your acknowledgement of any small semblance of compassion and empathy. I hearting my resonance with your sentiment.
People suck Wat. I'm the first one to grumble it in public. Thankfully we have a choice every day how we respond. You're among friends here.
People have been people-y here too.....Day. Humans.

It's a strange but honest place I find myself in these days. My tolerance of the foolish and the entitled grates thin. I loathe small talk and pleasantry as I find it challenging to talk at all. But broken people: physically, mentally, and emotionally damaged, outcasts....these people I have all the time in the world for. The reality is we don't get to choose who we encounter and then the challenge begins. Do I match energy or choose a different response. Note, I don't pretend to be always successful lolVery eloquent.
And relevant - I've had discussions recently with at least 2 people (maybe 3?) about choosing how to respond.
While not always an easy choice, it can be an empowering one and one that helps pave the road to (internal) happiness IMO.
