Nursing is hard. Have I told you that? She’s making progress though and last night I was able to sleep upstairs. She doing a little better everyday. New appreciation for all the work she does (all stay at home moms do) day in and day out. Good on all caretakers!

When my wife and I first got married, I thought it was high time I gifted her a present of a Colt .38. I mean, what woman wouldn’t like that?

We had that old money program Quicken on our computer where we had started doing financial tracking or what not. In the block under HOME Purchases or something she put in the header DAMN GUN!

So far I'm doing well in my class, but my last paper might have to be resubmitted...I comprehended the instructions wrong and didn't notice until after I sent it She usually compliments me on my work. It's nice to read her comments

^^This... so much, this. My first knee doctor was fixated on my weight. Ignored everything else - all my activity, previous dislocations... to him, weight loss was the only solution.

I fired him, researched knee docs, and saw someone else. That doctor did my first knee replacement when I was 40. Young for a replacement. But he told my mom, "There was more damage than the MRI showed. That knee was shot. The only option was a replacement."

I can relate... have some siblings like this, too

I admit - it took a few tries for me to come up with baking homemade potato chips/crisps I got there, but the first 2 or 3 guesses weren't appetizing. LOL

I'm one of those people where diet and exercise simply isn't enough. But with the statin, my numbers are controlled.

I love learning new things... and sharing knowledge with others. Watching their face as they learn something new, too.

Friend of a friend had a bad breakup. They were going to throw away several bottles of "cheap Jamaican rum". I offered to take them, made them into rum balls.... very tasty, very potent rum balls.

Oh no! I never thought of that... honestly, the only pie I ever really liked was a homemade quiche (where I omitted the Swiss cheese b/c of an allergy).
I had my first slice of apple in years this past year. Think that's about 6 desserts this year so far - unheard of amount of sweets for me. I'm more a savory person.

We're a mixed bunch in my family.
Die hard coffee drinkers and those who won't touch it
Can be interesting watching the coffee siblings when they visit the no coffee siblings on that first morning when they realize they aren't set for morning sippies.
About the only time a breakfast plan comes together quickly.

One thing I do always have is coffee and real cream for the coffee drinkers who want it.
