My youngest son is still just about as red-haired as you are. Maybe a bit darker. Oldest one was born looking like a red-headed troll doll, but he went really blonde pretty quickly. Both my wife and I were born redheads, but turned blonde.

Wasn't actually intentional, but I had read an article years ago that eventually redheads might just disappear, since it's such a recessive trait, and parents usually have to both be red-haired to have red-headed kids. But I wouldn't want to live in a world with no redheads, especially the ladies. Pretty redheaded Irish lasses are my kryptonite.
