It’s rare, but you can find ground coffee for French Roast. Also buy the whole bean where they have a grinder that can be set for coarse grind.

Wife is in Pre-op…we said our prayers and goodbyes, so had a minute to log on. Total knee replacement today for her.

Thanks Lili for the in depth review! That makes me feel a little better…no I lied…a LOT better! . Talked to the nurse yesterday and she immediately put me on low dose aspirin. They also wanted to put me on either Atorvastatin or Rosuvastatin? Any good info on either one of those? The nurse didn’t elaborate much as we spoke over the phone and I basically know what both do. I’ve also been referred to a cardiologist and I asked for my mom’s doc. She likes him and I figure why not keep it in the family? He’ll know our family history pretty well.

So…I guess I get to join the wonderful world of meds. I’ve never been on a continuing med regime…ever…so this is a wake up call. Time to start quading my lutes out in the back yard!

This month is my birthday and the local movie theater offers a free bucket of popcorn if you come in during your birthday month. So I went to see "Mickey 17" tonight. By myself, sadly. There were three other people in the theater so it was quiet. Interesting movie, still absorbing some of the ideas.

I am also a charter member of the procrastinators club! I sit here, on a Wednesday evening, having yet to pack for my trip. I leave on Friday.

I'm a notorious over-packer (Mary Poppins Syndrome). I use a smaller bag than desired, pack everything once. Then edit (i.e. remove, not add) twice... then move everything to the smaller bag and edit more if there's still too much stuff. It's a process.

My advice? Stop walking on eggshells around her. Treat her exactly as you treat everyone else.

ALWAYS have a witness, preferably the aforementioned "close personal friend," the shop steward, if/when you need to counsel her. Keep meticulous notes.

It's a PITA, I know. And, I'm probably not telling you anything you don't know. This kind of narcissistic bullying needs to stop. I'm so sorry!

I was put on that in my 20s - before I knew better about researching before blindly filling and taking an Rx. Still taking it to this day. It's keeping my cholesterol and triglycerides controlled since diet and exercise alone were not enough.
I find Wikipedia a pretty good source for mostly plain language info on drugs. I'm not a pharmacist or chemist so the peer reviewed articles and studies often get too technical for me.

Overall I enjoyed the movie. The premise is a bit shaky, imo, and the main villain is a cartoon. Overall though it did keep me engaged and the plot asked some interesting questions. And yes I'm being super vague to avoid spoilers.
