I tried it too.... but I could never do enough... so I stopped and now I have fewer relationships but better ones

I also had to learn the hard way not to empty my bucket to fill another's. It's a futile attempt.

Had a good weekend.

Yesterday - got my taxes done. I owe a bit.

Then drove up to my sisters. Had a hillarious time w her. We took her out for her b-day. So fun. Watched a bunch of old bugs bunny cartoons.

had a nice drive on the back roads home. Got home at 1 and got in a full day of farm work. Cleared the trail where a big tree came down and then split firewood then did some cleanup in the old mill.

Worked till 6!

I heard back from Engine Boy. He's in Jersey - I had kinda guessed as much. It's gooder'n having to go to NYC-the-place-not-to-be. He wants to sell the whole kit-and-caboodle. I told him, okay. I'm formulating a price - ten grand. No more. Last guy up that way I talked to made me an offer I don't refuse - he knocked 37.5% off his asking price over the phone if I'd come get it. I did. You're seen the piccies.

I quit buying it as a concession to eating gooderer.

I haven't eaten processed cereals since I was a kid. I'm fairly certain the processing is MUCH different now than it was 50 or so years ago. If I eat grains now, it's things like brown rice amaranth, and quinoa.

I still eat some processed foods, but I try to be selective about it. Chocolate is my downfall!

Ha! My friend, trev sent this to me a few minutes ago. This is a really not fun process of changing the idler wheel on a tank. Looks like the bearing or seal went bad. But what’s weird is that I didn’t see them swap
Out the seal. (Hope they did, otherwise it’s a big miss)

But this is EXACTLY the type of cussing and swearing that goes on when changing out parts of the tank - esp when broken track is involved.

This was probably a good 1-2 hour swap out, I’m guessing.

(((MissK))) - so sorry! I once added a switchboard on an Access database with a hidden doorway into the actual data table b/c 2 co-workers consistently tucked up the data every time they touched it otherwise.

My daily ride is a small SUV with 144 + low change potassium miles. No lojack or Bluetooth. But step up from last car - it has power steering & power windows. No frills - sits up higher for my titanium knees & just gets the job done.

Heard there was snow back home this week. Good! We didn't get nearly enough this year IMO... Plus, I'm not there rn, so bring it on!

Not looking forward to losing an hour!
Maybe a short nap right now would help mitigate it?

That's the way to do it! I hate to pay, but after my (still unresolved) 2023 taxes, I think I'll start calculating how I can have a minimal amount to pay.

Yesterday, I got a missive from the IRS wanting a copy of my husband's death certificate in order to claim the refund from 2023. This is AFTER I have made monthly phone calls to them since December. They couldn't have asked the first time???
