I think it comes down to the individual. Some trans girls are terrible at sports but want to play with their friends. While others would mop the floor against born female athletes. Why not judge each case individually? It's not like there are millions of trans girls taking over girls sports.

smart enough to gain certain voters, not so smart to lose others, but it's a numbers game. If he can keep the voters he has, plus add more, by promoting the message enough people will swallow, he's clearly smart. No-one's disputing his smarts, just his integrity.

What's for certain is that a proportion of die-hard newsom voters will never trust him again and his self-serving political sleaziness, which fits in perfectly with how the USA's turning with trumpism, is right out there in the open. He's selling out his integrity in order to run for president; would he make a better president than trump? I would be pretty certain given his experience. I still don't like him—but that's irrelevant to anyone other than myself.

It's a really complex issue and it's more complicated than most people realize. It is also unfortunate that it has been politicized to the degree that it has.

I have no opposition to trans people as human beings trying to live their lives. I know they have a rough life and a tough path to social acceptance.
But the thing is, someone born biologically as a male (who identifies as female) will have a denser bone structure, more mass, more robust physique, and so on- than someone biologically female. This does give them an unfair advantage when it comes to women's sports, and in terms of contact sports can even lead to risk of injury. So for that reason I am not in favor of trans women playing in women's sports. NOT for the bigoted and hateful reasons that, for example, the Rightguides, Busybodys, and UltraChads of the world will cite, but purely for practical and logical reasons. It is, as I said, a complex issue.

It's not weird.

Trans athletes claiming to be women because they believe they are and forcing everyone else to ignore their sex because Gender Identity > Sex plays out in lots of ways of which the Sports issue is just more prominent.

Consider the case of Archimedes Bay Spa recently in the news.

They had to do this because on previous "Women's Night Only" some Transwomen showed up waving their penises because women.

The Spa tried to make them wear sheets or towels, but that was Trans Hate because women, and they got protested.

So actual women who prefer not to be naked around dicks were just fucked. Transwomen are women and since THEY ignore their bodies and belief > reality we all have to.

That is why the Sports issue matters.
