I have read the Forum rules regarding posting images on Literotica.

I am a bit confused because there seem to be many pictures that are probably not owned by the person posting and also quite a few that are very explicit. In addition, there are members who post multiple images on a variety of sites.

So, can I post an image that I have found on the internet? Can I post more than one image at a time?

Finally, how do I exactly post an image on a thread here?

Many thanks in advance to anyone who can provide answers!!

I would say if you post your own image try to not have it be the most "riskay" and if you are posting another's image, just post a link. In a thread you can "attach an image" (your own pics), or link to an image (not your own pics). It is pretty lenient on here, so shhh! lol

Just following up.

I see that many here post lots of images in lots of threads.

Can I just go ahead and place a photo of something I like??

Thanks. Otherwise, not?
You can't upload to Lit servers images you do not own/you do not own copyright to. The images you upload to Lit servers must comply strictly with the rules.

What you have observed is that some areas in Lit allow hot-linking images from other sites - meaning the images are displayed here but the file resides on servers that Lit is not responsible for. Do not post any images "beyond" what is the norm for a thread - still be mindful of the rules. Don't hotlink images that have text or logos prompting another site.

Ok thanks v. much. That makes things a lot clearer.

Hi, can you or someone look into my issue

Hi everyone,
got an idea whats going on on this Forum?
I had a nice thread about self-generated AI-Images in the german section:
https://forum.literotica.com/threads/ki-bilder-und-geschichten-cover.1625117/
All the stuff there was generated by the users themself and did not violate copyrights. But since yesterday (18. March 2025) everything vanished.

Whats the matter?
See:

"I had a nice thread running for AI-generated images for story-covers. "

Fake images are generally not allowed here.

To that end, we DO NOT publish works of any type featuring the following content:

Works generated by artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLM), or other non-human automated systems. Literotica publishes works by human for humans. For more information, see our AI policy.

=============

There is/was an exception for story covers for stories submitted to the story side. That didn't transfer to the forum. If your picture posting images were revoked, only the Site Owners/Admins could do that. It has happened to other posters in the past. There is no appeal.

Moral of the story? Do not use fake images. They are not your original content. They steal bits and practices from others.

Your Sig Image is also in violation and should be removed.
