Started with breakfast w @Mrswonderer and @likes2watchU who is on her marathon east coast tour. Then caught up and spent the afternoon with L2 before she resumed said east coast tour.

Was delightful to make this work.
Loved meeting @Wonderer67 and @Mrswonderer. Momentous event - breakfast before 10am Delicious!
Quick tour of the local area then it was time for a train adventure down to the DC area. Will spend the last leg with family.
Already had 2 storytimes, 2 homework sessions, and a card trick session.
Triple fudge brownies were a hit for dessert. IYKYK
Be well, be happy... I'll check in as time allows and back to cafe upon return.

Good morning DH and all early risers. Spring is coming slowly but surely. The only plan is a vet visit. My old dog is due a vaccine.

How did he do? My girl has an appointment next week. We're taking a trip and she needs a health certificate from her vet. She'll get her nails clipped while we're there, too.

My wife and to some degree my daughter volunteer for a rescue so we ALWAYS have a foster cat or two around here. I don't mind cats but they LOVE them. Actually they just love animals....cats are just a piece of this animal puzzle.

So as I mentioned back whenever on here: I basically live in a zoo lol

With you brother. Lost around 15-20 this time last year, mainly just due to work schedule and doing that intermittent fasting routine. Then a couple of vacations and the crazy that’s happened over the last three months I put it all back on added ten for good measure. Had a little health scare and they told me my glucose levels were a “tad” high, so back to the intermittent fasting this time with cutting the sugar in my coffee and just weeding out my sweet tooth.

I dropped 10 fairly quickly but sort of backslid when I moved my mother in. Vacation upcoming so hopefully some walks in the spring weather and getting out on the water will help also. The struggle is real like you posted. Let’s start encouraging each other more. Maybe us chatting in the open will help others in their quest!

Big Ol’ Jet Airliner taking me home today! Got to visit a cowboy steak house I haven’t been to in 30 odd years last night! If ever in Tucson, hit Pinnacle Peaks. The atmosphere and food hadn’t changed in 30 yrs but the prices sure had! . When we were regulars here in the early 90’s you could get a 22oz steak, all the Fix’ns, and an iced tea for $14.99. It’s closer to $40 now but still was a nice walk down memory lane.

I’ve shifted gear from Alpine spring to desert SW spring. inspiration hits when it hits!

I am, however, going to have a chat with L&I. On perusing the RCWs (WA laws), seems some permitting and inspecting should have been done, especially with the electrical... I'll just call and ask (all innocent-like), can you help me understand... I do have his license number. I've been asking for his subs' license numbers, too (for months), but he still hasn't given them to me. No matter. The state will find them.

Lilianna and I are talking about yearly competencies on how to apply and release 4 point leather restraints for combative patients.....it is a nursing thing....in the er we are proficient.....

I will need to be checked off. In the ICU, we use chemical restraints more. I can't remember the last time I applied leathers!

Good morning all.....
What's your feelings about eating before or after exercise?
I'm a low carb high proteins kind of guy but I've been stuck around my current weight for months.

I can't eat before I work out; it makes me nauseated. I bring a protein shake with me to drink after I've cooled down. Sometimes I also put protein water in my water bottle.
