Totes kidding. Mardi Gras, aka Fat Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent... but it's also Carnival for the countries that call it that.

I think it's Pancake Day here too but Mardi Gras never falls on the same Tuesday. It's just x amount of time before Easter.

What I'm trying to say is... drink plenty of alcohol with your pancakes!!!

Ok... just a little background to my requests every major Krewe has something they're known for that they throw. These things aren't as commonly thrown as the beads, therefore a coveted item.

Krewe of Zulu members decorate and throw coconuts during their parade along with the other beads and goodies.
