FBI Director Kashyap Pramod Vinod "Kash" Patel, who also hold the title of Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, will not maintain an office at either building in Washington DC. The weather apparently does not agree with his delicate sensibilities.
Instead, Patel will be "working from home" the entirety of his tenure of his directorship(s).
His home is in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada.
Except it's not technically "his" home.
His "home" is a mansion owned by Republican megadonor Michael Muldoon, who owns six super-high-pressure 'vacation timeshare resorts' in the Las Vegas area.
Muldoon is registered as also living that address, but is currently "living abroad for an extended period in a place he'd rather not say" and hung up on a reporter as soon as Patel's name was mentioned.
Muldoon has a decades long history of doing "little favors" for law enforcement, which somehow has not investigated him despite hundreds of complaints against his time share companies.
Muldoon also subsidizes the vacations of a certain Texas United States senator who enjoys Cancun, Mexico, contributing $50,000 to his reelection campaigns.
