@LilKitKat let me know your thoughts on The Substance? I watched it the other night. .... I thought it was epic. Brilliant on so many levels and shocking in places. It's got more boobs than any thread on Lit too lol

Saw it last night.

Yes tons of boobs, though you know those were stand-ins right? One of the first things in the credits.
Secondly, great film...

EXCEPT

the last 15 min were a total WTF...did NOT like the last 10 min at all.
Without spoilers, ill just say...a min or two after the "second shot"...predictable results and then...boom, just a big fat NOPE

but great exposition on how people are viewed and judged and not valued, the all white male shareholders, the nature of hollywood, the do anything to be younger/prettier, ego taking over, desperation, vanity, whatever

Completely agree. The bit you didn't like was very out of kilter with the rest of the film. However, it is supposed to be a horror. So I was expecting something like that.

The morale of the story...... ALWAYS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!

Well, my favorite is to fry the pork chops in butter until golden brown and then put in the oven for 9 min. 200°C.
Then lay them to rest and put the pan on the stove again. Add fine chopped shallot. Fry shortly and add white wine and scrape off all the good stuff from the pan while reduce the wine to half. Add good broth and reduce to half. Add chopped cornichons and dijon mustard, stir and heat up. I'd serve the pork chops on varm plates with the sauce poured over.
Bread and salad or Rice and salad?

I love rivce and I love bread so either

and the pork sounds tasty, what time is dinner?

Then let's do it the Italian way. First some small pasta dish and then the pork chop dish with salad and bread.

Wow, you dance about my mind quite often, even if I don't make appearances as often as I'd like. Definitely haunting me pleasantly, and I do mean to pop in more often. You're beautiful and amazing and I can't get enough.
