Ok coffee I understand but what is a fry up?
Also - happy actual birthday, ma'am :)
An English breakfast

Let me set the scene:

You've had a wild night out, you’re sweating out the alcohol and nothing you eat seems to be hitting the right spot… or maybe you’ve just woken up starving…. Or you’re needing fuel for a long days work: you need something greasy, hearty, and absolutely life-saving.

Enter: the Full English Breakfast, aka a fry-up-the UK's ultimate hangover cure and breakfast champion.

On your plate, you'll find:
  • Bacon - Not the crispy, streaky kind you know, but thick, juicy back bacon.
  • Sausages - Usually pork, sizzling and golden brown.
  • Eggs - Fried, scrambled, or poached, but fried is classic.
  • Beans - Yep, baked beans in tomato sauce, straight from the can, sweet and savory.
  • Tomato - Grilled or fried, slightly charred.
  • Mushrooms - Fried in butter and parsley
  • Toast or fried bread - Sometimes just toasted, sometimes deep-fried in butter.
  • Hash browns - Not always traditional, but often included.
  • Extras - Some add bubble and squeak (fried mashed potatoes and cabbage) or even a slice of fried halloumi.
  • All washed down with a coffee or a tea! (And an orange juice)
It's greasy, heavy, and absolutely glorious. If a Denny's Grand Slam had a cooler, rowdier British cousin, this would be it.

Yeah that sounds right up my alley. Well I might skip the tomato but otherwise - yeah, I'll look for that when I'm in London next month. :)

Hooe you have even more fun!! 😍

I’m all in! 🥵

I'm just about to do the full English breakfast, but slightly modified from yours.

I'm having black pudding and I'm contemplating making the eggs into an omelette with cheese and spring onions and I'll put cherry tomatoes in that.

Trust me my birthday weekend hangover needs it right now.
