It appears that Elon Musk is going to be chartered to ‘downsize’ the federal government. I doubt that we’ll see the 80% rif that happened at the organization formerly known as Twitter, but it will still probably be substantial. I can already hear the howls of pain and outrage from the ‘more government’ contingent. The media will be filled with stories of hardships that have been foisted upon those now unemployed government drones.

Me? I won’t be feeling any of their pain. As a matter of fact being set free will probably be the best thing that ever happened for them. After all for decades we’ve been told that those folks are “the best and the brightest.” If that is indeed the case then the private sector will be tripping all over themselves to hire those people, right? And if the private sector doesn’t trip all over themselves to hire those folks, well, live and learn the government lied to you again.
