Sigh. I may be jumping the gun a bit but there is a MASSIVE technical issue with my project which may cause the project to be put on hold. Hopefully just a scope change and maybe a slight delay. However, if it is put on hold, then theres a decent chance that all contractors assigned to the project will be...put on hold...and subsequently not earning money. Ahem.

Absolutely no need to apologize, you don't owe anyone a false front and we like the genuine you. I hope your work and IT problems sort themselves out, but remember tomorrow is a new day and at some point in the future the things that are driving you mad today will seem small.

I really hope for your sake it doesn't happen. That's pretty poor form for the contracting company to do that to people!

well, several of you reached out to help troubleshoot my keyboard. I ordered one from Amazon...think it might be arriving tomorrow? (I dont have prime but hooray for fast shipping regardless).
I am guessing itll take an hour or so to do, so Ill likely do it this weekend...will let you know...either Ill alert everyone its good to go...or you wont see me for a few weeks because I will have fucked up my comp.

not at all, it would be that the technical person in the sales division didnt catch something in the statement of work, and thus we are at an impasse to proceed. and if so, then there will be options:
1. increase the budget, timeline, scope etc, in order to account for this...and whether that will be the client paying or my company, who knows, not in my job description
2. our tech team and more develops a solution so either we proceed on the same timeline or perhaps a short delay
3. me and the project are totally screwed and its on hold indefinitely or client drops us etc and my company has no other project for me so they have to search for one and cant find, ie, lay me off. Technically we have LOADS of clients and projects so there are opportunities it just is not known if there is one available for me.
4. project on hold indefinitely like #3 but they find me another project either starting immediately or maybe I have a week or two off while they sort it out etc

So 3 of those are ok to good solutions (I can deal with 1-3 weeks of being off etc) but if I am let go even though my boss has said Ive done a great job (I screencapped it as a record) under circumstances and such would just suck beyond belief because I am just starting to get comfortable here

so it wouldnt be my recruiter company's fault nor the fault of anyone other than the tech dept in the sales team for not catching one little statement that is entirely a showstopper
