Wow... but all those fallen trees are just waiting to be cut up and sold...ash is good for burning right???

That is the upside. Ash is dense, and burns hot and long. Truly some of the best firewood you can use. Only oak (not all varieties, but most) and black locust burn hotter i think.

The whole meal were requests for daughters friends birthday. S'mores dip is always a big hit .... The puppy is an adorable terror that chews anything in his path right now but we're working on it

It looks like ash trees are going the way of the American chestnut.

There is some kind of injection you can give them but it’s a crap shoot.

It’s a major safety issue here in the northeast and the upper Midwest. In big wind, storms, a lot of the dead ash trees blow over onto powerlines.

I can relate to falling branches. Was canoeing on the Deleware years ago. Was sitting with my back against a tree taking a break. This big ass limb fell down a few feet from me.

Even if a tree is not dead or dying, shit happens! Few years back a guy at Bulls Island state park was killed - huge tree came down on his tent.

And a friend of mines son was killed taking down an ash tree. And they had the rigging and everything in place.

I was warned about falling branches when I was a boy scout. We won't mention the tree I was cutting down that fell the wrong way. It was an English Walnut and had great nuts!
No more morbid talk, lets just go with the reverse cowgirl and I will ride out with that!
