Lit used to feel like the Mirror of Erised and Hen3ry's sewer. You'd see what you were interested in, and what you got out of it depended on what you put into it. And the content here was sufficiently diverse for that to work.

To me, it no longer feels that way. There are fewer active threads where people talk about sex, and what they like, and why. This thread is a glorious exception.

Some of my sexiest memories of Lit threads have been where people have explained, with genuine passion and feelings, why they liked their special something or someone so much. Anyone can post that they like a cheerleader outfit. When they post why, and how they feel when they or their partner wears it, and their words convey some of their feelings and emotions? Those are the sexiest Lit posts for me. They're the point of Lit for me.

I can go to Facebook if I want to post memes and Schitts Creek gifs with friends. I can go to Pornhub if I want sex gifs. But Lit is the only place where I can find people discussing the power dynamics of bukkake, in public. I appreciate that for many of the most active posters here Lit has value as a community which goes far beyond the sexy stuff. Don't get me wrong - I think that's great too. But I miss being able to talk, openly, publicly, among like-minded pervs, about the power dynamics of bukkake, and whether men prefer to go first or last, and whether any men would really prefer to be the one in the middle.

This. I learned so much about about sex and proclivities my first years on Lit. It expanded my understanding generally, opened my mind, made me more tolerant, and brought me to a much better understanding of my sexual self. These days my most meaningful and informative interactions are in PM. It's been that way for quite some time. This is one of the few threads that still provides occasional discussion.

I can imagine. It's something I simply refuse to do. It feels like too much responsibility.

I have my diarist thread, but I pop in when I please and there is no rhyme or reason to posts.

With question threads I settle into, I am very active. Strive to be so, in fact, even when not feeling the mood to post. I want to keep them alive.

These days I find myself falling down a little in that area. There seems to be less interest in serious posts, so I piffle.
