The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Yay!!

So Happy for you. This has really been a saga. And they have not been fair to you.

They had it coming.
Thank you! I think the bathroom is done now. But it's not REALLY done till my housekeeper says it's done! She will be here on Monday to do an inspection. I better get some more painter's tape... 🤣🤣🤣

Happy Friday. Got paid, so money is juggled. Gonna pack soon because today is Go Home day. Found a good crib here on the BnB website. It's gonna work. She has cats and one lends herself out, or comes to inspect. Whichever.

I got the oil changed in my truck last weekend and now it's leaving spots. When I do it, it doesn't leak. Anywhere. I suspect that they assed up my drain plug. I also suspect that I shan't be going back. On the other hand, as the weather warms, I'll just do it myself.
I'm glad you found a good place to stay, complete with cats! Watch out for Ethyl's reaction when you get home. Does she let you play with strange cats???

I'm pissed for you that the place you got your oil changed fucked it up. 🤬🤬🤬

Best to always do it yourself.

PITA but you know what is done. Took mine for an oil change several years ago, and the oil light came on afterwards. They never reset it. Then I checked the oil and it was not clean and new.

I got several free oil changes from them after that.

But you can’t trust them once they’ve fucked it up once….
I have trust issues on a good day. If someone fucks me over (in the very bad, no good, horrible way), I will never trust them again. 🤬

Saw my urologist yesterday and the good news is the cancer is so slow growing I will likely die of something else.

My other blood work show i still have low iron reserves and I was dehydrated ☹️. And yes I know nurses in the diner, drink more fluids. So more coffee or tea? 🤣
Good news on the cancer!

And the answer is neither! Both coffee and tea, as well as many sodas, are diuretics ( they will make you pee), although tea is generally milder than coffee. You can drink either or both, however, I've recommended to patients they drink two glasses of water for each cup of coffee.

Met with two contractors yesterday. One is going to do the work for us, but he can’t come till next Thursday🙄. Wife is melting down with everything, and I’m just cruising along…sort of. I’m going to find a big bottle of rum today…it’s Friday somewhere…right?

It’s still cold, but sunny, so there’s that. Bring on the spring. If we keep repeating the mantra…it will come!

It's hard for her, I'm sure. Is the rum for her? If not, make sure to bring her favorite libation home!

Temps have dropped into the 40s and it's still raining. It feels much colder today, that damp cold. We're now under a flood watch. I'm not affected as I live on a very high hill. I'm very concerned about those who live in/near our many rivers' flood plains.

Hi, everyone. Sorry, I've been gone for so long. I appreciate all the messages and well wishes. I'm going to be leaving lit. Due to several recent changes in personal relationship as well is some physical and work. Related issues. I want to thank everyone. For accepting me for who I was as I accepted them for who you are. I hope everyone has a bright future filled with happiness and family. Maybe I could pop in every once in a while, and just say hello I don't want to make this long and drawn out, but remember the thread doesn't make you. It's all of you that make the thread. I'm going to deactivate the account for a little while. So there's no messages that you have to send. Please be good to yourselves and everyone around you. Thank you, and I'll be thinking of you. All of you
Love,
Renee 😘🤗💋❤️
Pleeeeease don't go! (She says, holding onto your leg as you try to walk away.) 😭💔

I hate to do this but I'll give it a shot.
Aunt Marilyn has decided that she can't keep up with her rescue kitten Ben. He has everything except being fixed. She had every intention of keeping him but he keeps roughing up her senior shih tzu and it's stressing her out. He's only 4 to 6 months old.

Here he is chilling on my wife's lap:

Poor Ben! Are you taking him?

Poor Ben! Are you taking him?
I keep telling my wife that she's going to end up adopting him if she keeps petting him like she does. After all, that's how she ended up with me.

But seriously, she does not want a boy cat and is adamant about it. But then she swears she "isn't allowed to move" when he curls up on her lap and starts purring. He's even figured out how to gently nip her hands to get her to continue scratching his head when she stops

I think he has her right where he wants her.
