Met with two contractors yesterday. One is going to do the work for us, but he can’t come till next Thursday. Wife is melting down with everything, and I’m just cruising along…sort of. I’m going to find a big bottle of rum today…it’s Friday somewhere…right?

It’s still cold, but sunny, so there’s that. Bring on the spring. If we keep repeating the mantra…it will come!

Aunt Marilyn has decided that she can't keep up with her rescue kitten Ben. He has everything except being fixed. She had every intention of keeping him but he keeps roughing up her senior shih tzu and it's stressing her out. He's only 4 to 6 months old.

Today, the landlady opened up the goat gate and let Mama and baby out to be with the other four. It seems like a couple of them paired off. Apparently, everybody is going to get along. So now we have an official goat pen where everybody will eat breakfast in the morning And where the baby can sleep under the heater. I think that’s good news.

Dragged home it was a slow afternoon after we got past lunchtime. So, early departure. All the kids are good at the house. I left my computer laptop in the office trailer, so it will be iPad and phone over the weekend. That means I may get more writing done this weekend. Reading, too.
