Called off taxing this morning as felt light headed. It was probably from taking my BP meds on an empty stomach. A foolish old man was I.

Oh cold and more cold

Youth service banquets, work, driving to portsmouth to meet with doc offices ( about 2 hrs each way) sewer board, council, dog watching...etc

My me,ory is not that good. I do remember one that my brother could not get out for a week, maybe two. He had plenty of firewood but I do not recall if he had a generator for the well pump. Down here in FL i have used the generator to keep the refridgerators and freezers going. We didn't have power for three days. Be prepared!

My husband got his first generator when we had a 4 day ice storm. He installed a transfer switch for it and showed me how to use it and start the generator. Then, he installed a whole-house generator with an automatic transfer switch, even though we haven't had that many instances when we needed it. He didn't want me to have to roll the gasoline generator out of the garage, hook it up, and start it.

The landlady called. Facetime, actually. I got to talk to the baby goat and the momma goat and Sophie the leader of the dwarf goats. I had a good chat with Telly the big red poodle. He kept trying to mouth the phone. I'm sure he was waiting for me to shove apple slices through it to him.

Meanwhile, over on the Left Coast, we're having an actual heat wave! It's been in the 50s! Seems we're in monsoon season here now.

*Whispers "it was 65 here yesterday"*

Today might’ve been the least memorable day ever. I got up, worked out, went to work, came home, ate dinner, watch Jeopardy, fell asleep on the couch.

It wasn’t necessarily bad…

Just a day…

Just at the airport with my wife, I said “I wish I’d brought the coffee table with us.”
“Why is that?” she asked…
“The passports are on it…”

My wife asked me if I could clear the kitchen table…
I had to get a running start but I made it!

My wife just accused me of looking like someone who doesn’t know how to shave properly…
Bloody cheek!

“I bought my wife an electric guitar yesterday”
“A Fender ?”
“No, she loved it…”

My wife told me she wanted a spa day for her birthday…
I’ll tell her it’s pronounced ‘spade’ when I give it to her later…

I met my wife at an Arthritis support meeting.
You know when two people just click.

My wife said if I didn’t do page 7 of the Kama sutra she would leave me.
It put me in a very difficult position

My wife is a hoarder and refuses to throw out her old magazine collection.
She has a lot of issues.

My new wife told me I’m terrible in bed.
I told her it’s unfair to make a judgement in less than a minute.

Meanwhile, over on the Left Coast, we're having an actual heat wave! It's been in the 50s! Seems we're in monsoon season here now.

It is 58 here now. That will be the high for the day we are supposed to start cooling down for the rest of the month. The last couple of weeks have been perfect weather almost. The problem we have now is Red Tide which can make the beaches a terrible place to be.
