It’s less expensive and you get a lot of mileage out of it. You get all the meat and you also get to make a nice stock.We cook a lot of whole chickens. I save the drippings/broth for soup, which is a great base to start with. Even the soup is like jello when it cools. So much better flavor. Also the added fat and protein keep you full compared to a soup without that base.
It's right at zero out there, and now you're making me want soup!
