I just had a scare...let the boys out Archie came back but sven didnt.... I had to go out in the rain mud dark cold etc to find him.....right when I started to panic his ass started barking from the back porch..... then he wanted to play...... It was like he said " I am here" the back sounded different than normal..... crazy dog

He is snuggled under my arm so can pet him to sleep.... I am the weak link

The roofs this year are absolutely miserable. Apparently everyone who has to shovel has the same problem.

I think this is going to be a bad year for snow. Apparently the big lake is really warm, and no ice. That means tons of snow. We had about 8" today...

As for the slip and fall. Nothing bruised but the ego. Heavy winter clothes saved the hide, but it still hurt!

It is funny tho. After enough time together you can enjoy something silly like shoveling a roof together. Even trips to the grocery store and other things are the kind of things we like to do together. Why not enjoy the mundane things in life.

We did have some medical scares last year, which changed our focus some...

After last year’s warm winter and summer, the Great Lakes are warmer than ever. In SE Michigan we get lake effect snow and we are about 200 miles from the lakes. Today the winds are out of the northeast and the thumb of MI is going to get 7 plus inches.

We are getting rain down here. I just read about a guy, riding his bike, getting killed by a distracted driver. Then there was the elderly lady, 83, that got killed by a woman backing up in a parking lot. Stay safe indeed!

The heartbreaking story around here was 2 children died of exposure after their mother’s car ran out of gas. She was homeless, asked for assistance 2 months ago and received no reply or help. And her family also did not help her. It took 2 children to die for the City and agency to revise their procedures. Really?
