OH MY GOSH...... OH MY GOSH....

I LOVE HER!!!!!!!!!

She is awfully darned cute. She's maybe 40% of the size of Sophie, the littlest dwarf girlie. Those are ears. The horns will grow. Momma Violet is being a good momma. They did go out a few feet from their stall to explore yesterday under Teh Human's watchful eyes. One of the dwarfs got a bit frisky with baby and she got shoved away. They'll get the hang of it.

I'll post more piccies as I get them.

These units are generally known as PCUs, progressive care units. Patients get a closer watch as nurses typically have a lower ratio of patient to nurse, generally 1:3-4. The unit she's on now may be a telemetry floor. I'm so very glad she got good care! I'd say by and large, we're a good lot! 🤗😘✨💞

I love the abbreviations and how they become "words." Worser than university, even, if that's possible.

I dated a STICU nurse for awhile - longtime GI, actually (for me). Stick-you. Surgery Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

I told her she should transfer to the Follow-Up Comprehensive Care Unit.

And you can guess the rest.

Sounds like a deal.

I've been running that Godfather schtick with my nephew/godson for most of his life and then giving my brother some shit for not making his kids watch one of the top 3 movies ever. At Mom's 90th b-day bash out (which my kids set up and I sprang for), he came over and was dutifully respectful, called me Godfather, and invited me over for coffee.

He was 25 at the time, so it was about time.

Did he bring any cannoli?

Yes! I asked yesterday, and was told PCU! Now she’s moved to a cardiac floor as she’s still in AFIB and hasn’t gone back into rhythm on her own yet. She has loved loved loved her nurses! All of them have been so attentive and sweet. We’ve also had a couple of trainees with them so that’s been fun. I haven’t had a hospital stay since I was maybe 12, so haven’t really seen the special little touches and things y’all do until now. Thanks for you’ve done and do nurses!
