About 20 years ago, I was cold all the time, just hanging out at home. And you could get nice blankets pretty cheap at the various stores, so I would buy 1 or 2 blankets, sew up a big robe… maybe a kaftan? Whatever. I made them out of blankets, and just throw that one, and was so comfy!!! I ended up making a bunch of them for friends too.
The last few I made were from warm fabric I got at the fabric store because those blankets are now more expensive… but either way, wearing a warm comfy blanket around the house was awesome.
Then a few years later, someone started selling blankets with sleeves or something for the same reason. I did mine before that.
