Agreed, and it's tricky for more casual lurkers to see something happening and they think they have carte blanche, without realizing there are some established relationships and existing friendships.I agree -- context and consent is everything. I have been called out both publicly and privately on Lit for overstepping on accident, and apologized for the same, learning from it.
I believe part of the freedom in a thread like this is balanced by others being comfortable enough to say, "to me, that was too far." If I have ever stepped over that line, I would want someone to tell me. We keep each other accountable, and that keeps it safe and civil.
I love you, Ho.And it meant a lot to you, so I took a picture of me in submission. And even posted it in Chaos for you...
But... okay... what if I say something to make you look like a fool?? What kind of consequences are we talking about?Agreed, and it's tricky for more casual lurkers to see something happening and they think they have carte blanche, without realizing there are some established relationships and existing friendships.
I've been the fool before, and like you said, I always appreciate a friendly call out before I look he bigger fool.

just a reminder that everyone comes in here to have fun, play around, and have a good time. while its fun pushing each others buttons and flirting, we need to remember that this is a public thread. i clearly remember a lesson i learned very early on here on Lit (it might have even been day one)...i responded in a thread very similar to this one to a post @barefootgirl69 made with the simple affirmation "good girl" or "that's a good girl" or something in a similar vein. i quickly received a scathing dm informing me of the danger and perceived rudeness of "domming" someone publicly, that you are not in a relationship with and do not have the consent to do so. that's ultimately what it is about, consent. i quickly apologized for my ignorance and explained that it certainly wasn't my intention, thinking i was just being playful. so while we all love pushing boundaries, we need to all respect each other and keep the flirting to flirting, and leave out anything that can be perceived as public "domming"...

Facebook links are scarier than anything I have ever linked to
They are pretty scary to me... and usually don't work for me presumably because I'm not on facebook. So I don't even click on them anymore.Facebook links are scarier than anything I have ever linked to![]()
