The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Thanks Woderer. She’s still coughing but two full days of two drip antibiotics has her feeling a little better. She can’t shake the cough though, and so they’re going to keep her another night. Been out sitting with her to keep her company. She rested most of yesterday but was sitting up and did a little PT with the nurse today. She’s not out of the woods but showing improvement.

Afternoon Z…as I couldn’t get logged on this a.m. Too many cute nurses around! 🤣

I'm glad you're able to be there with Her!
I'm also grateful for the stunning pics you post for us!

I’m glad things are improving. But it’s not anything to mess around with so keep a very close eye on it, bud!

And on the nurses…. You know how sexy they are!!

I was taking a break. This thing was still raring to go. It spent the afternoon kicking my ass!

This is some miserable white shit this year. There is normally a layer of "sugar snow" at the bottom by now, which makes breaking chunks loose easy. Not this year, and early thaw after a bit of snow and then some rain has an 8" layer at the bottom that is like concrete. Cannot pop it loose without cutting all around it, then hitting underneath a half dozen times before it breaks loose. Two days, and I'm not quite half way. This used to take a single afternoon.

Just rain here in Jersey.

That's what we've had in NC all week. The sun did peek out a bit this afternoon.

Making a bit of headway on the job. Met the head guy for the customer. We seemed to hit it off all right, which is God. It was warmer today. Got some stuff marked off for deliveries tomorrow. And of course, there's the meeting with los jefes at the office tomorrow.

And then heading home for a couple of days. I so hope that Ethyl isn't angry.

i think about the same. Summer of 2004. Maybe 120ish near camp victory north. Unbearably hot.

And working on and/or being inside a tank in that heat is awful.

I can get acclimated to the cold better than I can the heat. I feel
Like I can get used to it better. The fucking heat just stays with you and bakes your skin and insides.

Funny thing is I like nice warm weather. Give me a nice 90 or 95° day in New Jersey any day of the week. Even w the humidity. But that desert hot?? Oh no.
Damn, we weee in the same area I just missed you by 6 months or so. We were some of the first in Victory base and we “settled” Victory North before 1 CAV civilized it.

Getting close to wrapping up here. Big day tomorrow at work - just a lot of work to get done.

Flooded in again
This is getting old quick
I'm so sorry. 🫂 This must wreak all sort of havoc.

I haveta go to bed early tonite cuz I have a 4am meeting with London (hey, it’s 9am there….). I woulda been in London this week except I’d already committed to the Hartford meetings.

So off to bed around 9pm tonite.
Time zones and business... so much fun!! Hope you get to cut out early to balance.
Been gone for a week +
I’m not even going to try and catch up. I probably won’t be in as much as before, but I hope y’all are well.
No need to catch up. 🫂 Hope all is well. You'll be missed, but RL gets in the way sometimes. Will be lovely to see you when you can pop in for a bit.
