The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good morning! Work out is done. Sipping coffee and preparing for the day. I'll make a pan of bacon this morning and plan dinner for tonight.

All the home care applicants we been in touch with this week are either sick or taking care of the sick and can't make an interview. I'm stuck.

Moms doc appointment was cancelled yesterday due to the weather. But I did reach out to them the day before to ask them to address the dementia with her.

Thanks a ton for everyone that suggested it. I had no idea it was an option. They knew exactly why I was calling and what to do about. Now we just have to reschedule. Soon I hope.

Hope everyone is staying dry, warm, healthy and happy. 😊

I am glad you are getting help

I love bacon

Yeah it started as type A then started into pneumonia . Sickest I have been in a long time.
So the pneumonia must be going around. Got a call from the kids last night that my mother was going to the hospital. We had EMS come do an evaluation and we all decided she neeeded to go in. Sure enough her o2 levels were low and chest X-rays confirmed pneumonia😮. The nurse told us it has been a bad year for flu and pneumonia. So, didn’t make it to work as I was in the ER till 2 a.m. They finally got her a room though. Everyone have a great day. Stay healthy and warm.

I've seen the blue for 15% ethanol (2001 and newer vehicles, the stuff that Scotty doesn't like - but Wat does and doesn't like Scotty), so this was a confusing seeing it for no ethanol. Then again, Buc-ee's may have blue for their no-ethanol. I can't remember. The no-ethanol pumps at one store close to home have red handles.

As always, read the labels.
I trust wat....screw scotty...he is dead to me

Yes read... Here they are blue... So much for standards

Best wishes....dang bugs

Good almost afternoon, Spoonies!
Hope the day isn't too rough on everyone.
Still short-staffed here at work due to illness.
So glad I work from home!!

Sorry the appointment needs to be pushed out, but happy to hear you connected with mom's care team and they are on board. The sooner she gets evaluated the better chance to employ today's medication options. Hopefully they can assist with connecting you with some home service resources, too. 🫂
I spoke up to get their attention
I've asked total strangers which pump when out of town. I'm used to my local pumps and labeling. Some areas in border states have a few stations that use very different colors/labels. I know to ask before I pump. A few times I've left and tried a different gas station since most stops on the Interstate have more than one option.
Yeah, I've had to blow snow for the old pooch living here too. She really hates cold.

We hit -13F last night, so she really didn't want to go out this morning!
I can relate. Woke to -7 and immediately thought, "I'll shower after work, once it warms up some."
Yeah, it's pretty. But you sure wouldn't want to get stuck out there! Waist deep snow, below zero...
It's amazing to play in for about an hour (depending on how far below zero)... after that, it's better to look at through the window. :ROFLMAO:

CDC saying flu numbers highest in 15 years
glad your mother is getting care
this year has been tough for viruses
They "did an update"

😳
figures

That new 7.3 liter engine from Ford makes my heart flutter. Great engine
Yes. A modern V8 pushrod engine with displacement and a cast iron block. And NO turbo!
Although it does have variable valve timing bull crap.

Not that I can complain about the later gen coyote 5.0 engines. Those sip fuel while still delivering HP, but LOTS of complexity there.

Yeah, that would do it around here.

This is my preference: https://atvtracks.net/track-systems
Much slower, and much more just poking around the back woods type fun.
And it will brute force drag a trailer with tires full of firewood out of the woods too.
Too wide for many of the places I like to go here. The Expo with the 900 Ace drags a sled of firewood just fine. And sometimes it's nice to quietly run at 30-40 mph over untracked open country.
