The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I hope you're feeling better now. Can you get to shore if you get worse?
Thanks! I might be a touch better, but it's hard to say.
I'm currently dockside, but in a different port than we departed from, so none of us have a vehicle here.

To answer your question, in an emergency, we can get a med-flight from offshore, but I assure you, I'll never utilize that if I'm not bleeding out, broken up, and/or conscience.

Happy Tuesday!!! Good day at work (I know, what a shock!) yesterday even if we got chilled.
I think that my windbreaker will get use today for both wind and drizzle. No matter, as we have plenty else to think about to keep us occupied.

Coffee and fixin'ta pack-n-load. Up the road this afternoon.

Lots of early risers! Good morning to diner dwellers!

Wow we are going to get real snow up to 6 inches. I know that is nothing for the UP Michigan buddy but for us way south of the bridge, it’s enough to terrorize drivers.

I think the folks in Ohio may get the ice though ☹️.

Running all my errands today to get ahead of the storm!

At home, we're getting LOTS of rain... temps are right on the cusp of us getting lots of ice.

So last night, I met the team. I’m working with and we had a happy hour here in Hartford. I knew some of them and met a lot of other people.

The building for the happy hour was, was the repurposed old Colt firearms factory. It was really cool. Now it’s like hipster, apartments and breweries, but back in the day it looks something like this…

(Page thru to other images, esp if you like old pics and guns)

I worked in and old factory building for a few years. I don't know the correct names for it but there was a power shaft that ran down the center of the building and there were drive belts between it and equipment that needed power. There were also some old drawings that were done in ink.

I remember when you as a kid shoveling the entire walk which was right next to the road.

Totally covered up the whole sidewalk with wet, heavy snow!
I remember, as a teen, being in a headon collision, ejected from the vehicle and stuck headfirst into one of those wet, heavy snow banks. That's very possibly the only thing that has me here, chatting today. Lol
