Elon Musk's DOGE team uncovers FEMA's $59M illegal funding for housing illegal migrants in luxury NYC hotels​

Investing.com -- Elon Musk, President Trump's confident and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), disclosed that the DOGE team found out that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had unlawfully transferred $59 million to upscale hotels in New York City last week. The funds, meant for American disaster relief, were used to accommodate undocumented immigrants.

"The @doge team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants," Musk said on X.

Musk said this action goes against the law and blatantly disobeys the President's executive order. In response, Musk stated that a demand to recover the misused funds, referred to as a clawback, will be initiated today.

"A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds," Musk added.
