My subbie setting isn't my default. It's more of a role (that I love!). I like it as a relief from having to always be "on." I think I enjoy it because it so far removed from my normal self. And other reasons that may or may not involve a masochistic streak.
Normal setting - pretty much fake, but necessary to get by.

Most of my life is the false face, or poser switch position, of “normality”. Second switch position is my private persona that limited people get to experience. Third switch position is my truly private self. One that only comes out here. It seems to be the place I can truly express myself.
