The Sec State Just halted All Foreign Aid For 90 Days

For that purpose, he could have only frozen foreign aid that began under Biden. This approach is too blunt an instrument.
Foreign aide has become an out of control institution of funding leftwing policy goals all over the globe. It's time to take a closer look at these programs, some of which are 30-40 years old.

“we'll expect the State Department to defend, repent, or in some cases, make the case for continuation of their programs,” said Rep. Brian Mast, Republican chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

On the other hand, the bulldozers Israel purchased from the US—blocked under Biden but released by Trump—have already arrived in Israel. And it’s only been a week!

It’s only been a week, and Donnie is already repaying Putin by cutting off support for Ukraine.

Comrade RightGuide rejoices.

Trump's sanctions could force Russia's Putin to negotiating table, some experts say

On Jan. 22, Donald Trump — just two days after being inaugurated for his second term as U.S. president — again called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the "ridiculous" war with Ukraine, but this time he added a threat.

"If we don't make a 'deal,' and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries," Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

The following day, Trump told reporters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had told him he’s ready to negotiate an end to the war. In an interview with Fox News aired that same day, Trump said Zelenskyy is "no angel" and “shouldn't have allowed this war to happen.”

Does the new U.S. administration have sufficient economic leverage over Russia to force it to make peace, or at least talk about peace?

Yes but, in the context of foreign aid, that was a purchase, not a hand out, right?

Foreign aid (“money”) is “fungible”, no???

🤔

That ^ is the standard that was applied to what was ACTUALLY Iran’s money by Rightard.

😳

😑

It can EASILY be argued that the U.S. taxpayers paid for those bulldozers.

Hope that ^ helps.

👍

Russia is already fully sanctioned. Talking about adding something (?) to that isn’t going to “force” Putin to stop his invasion of Ukraine. 😆

And this is fucking pathetic … Doddering Donnie sucking up to Putin by pretending Ukraine is in any way to blame for Russia’s invasion:

In an interview with Fox News aired that same day, Trump said Zelenskyy is "no angel" and “shouldn't have allowed this war to happen.”

Doddering Donnie and Comrade RightGuide are both devoted to runty Putin.

You have no good reason to think that. The U.S. government has not been under left-wing control at any time since independence.

Also:

President Musk (and DonOld) cutting off humanitarian aid to Ukraine, etc, is ALREADY having negative impacts on them, while the POTENTIAL sanctions that President Musk (and DonOld) are "threatening" Putin / Russia with are CURRENTLY having ZERO negative impacts on Putin / Russia.

🤬

JFC

SAD!!!

What "material" benefit do we get from our investments in NATO?
Friendly trade with all Europe, and, more importantly, a world Russia does not dominate. It would be a very, very bad thing for Russia to be a world power again, like it was when the Communists ruled, like it was when the tsars ruled.

Trump Has Dozens More Bureaucrats Suspended for Defying His Executive Orders as the Swamp Draining Continues

By Bob Unruh, WND • Jan. 28, 2025

(WND News Center)—Dozens of federal officials, mostly top staff members at the U.S. Agency for International Development, have been suspended for trying to interfere with President Donald Trump’s freeze on foreign aid.

The workers, estimated to total 57, were placed on leave on Monday for “trying to circumvent his executive order on freezing all foreign aid,” according to a report in the Daily Mail. They are “career government officials.”

“We have identified several actions within USAID that appear to be designed to circumvent the president’s executive orders and the mandate from the American people,” explained Jason Gray, now the new acting administrator of the agency.

“As a result, we have placed a number of USAID employees on administrative leave with full pay and benefits until further notice.”

If these efforts are subversive in nature all should be fired and prosecuted under 18 U.S. Code § 1918.

BS. Russia couldn't dominate a fully armed Europe determined to defend itself. They rely upon us so they can finance their domestic socialist goals.

That is not even arguable. There are no socialist countries in Europe any more, only social democracies.

That lavishly pay invaders to cross their borders while funding everything except their real defensive needs.
