Donald Trump is jacking up the price of coffee.

The president of Columbia announced that it would NOT grant landing permission to US government aircraft that contain Columbian nationals deported from the United States.

In response, the Trump Administration announced that Columbia was now subject to Stage 2 Butthurt Protocols (two separate actions) yesterday:

1. An immediate tariff increase on any coffee product (including raw beans) made or harvested in Columbia

aaaaaaand

2. Setting up a rare but completely legal "secondary TSA spot inspection zone" (in other words, pissing off airline passengers by forcing them to go through TSA scanners twice) in Columbia................wait for it........South Carolina.

The price of coffee? Big fucking deal😠 I'll gladly pay more for coffee if it facilitates the removal of this cancer to clean up my beloved nation...... small price to pay😎

The President should've taken some time to arrange these flights with their destination countries. My guess is that he wanted the press.

Allies won't forget how they're being treated. Other adversaries are waiting to help break these alliances up.
It would be really shitty if he did it in the middle of the night hoping nobody notices.

 Immigrants ain't that, not even the few who are criminals.

“Mommy, mommy! That crazy man with the knife is chasing me, screaming “Viva Colombia!’ and says he’s going to rape me!”“Shhhh honey. With what I saved on coffee, I can buy you a lollipop.”

Petros official statement to Trump(translated version)

Breaking out one particular sentence as it is striking to me:
"But it’s difficult, because you consider me an inferior race, and I am not, nor is any Colombian.”

“Trump, I don’t really enjoy traveling to the U.S.; it’s a bit boring. But I must confess that there are some admirable things. I like visiting the Black neighborhoods of Washington, where I saw an entire struggle in the U.S. capital between Black and Latino communities with barricades, which I found foolish because they should unite.

I confess that I like Walt Whitman, Paul Simon, Noam Chomsky, and Miller.

I also confess that Sacco and Vanzetti, who share my blood, are memorable figures in U.S. history, and I follow them. They were executed in the electric chair by labor leaders; the fascists that exist in the U.S. are also present in my country.

I don’t like your oil, Trump; it will destroy the human race out of greed. Maybe one day, over a glass of whiskey—which I accept despite my gastritis—we can frankly talk about this. But it’s difficult, because you consider me an inferior race, and I am not, nor is any Colombian.”

You're a small minded moron.

This keeps getting better!
At one of these "secondary" checkpoints, a woman was pulled out of line in Columbia SC and told she couldn't travel within America without a passport. She complained that she was an American citizen and had a valid driver's license.

"We don't know that you're a citizen without a passport and a random driver's license from some district in Columbia is not valid for travel, Ma'am".

Re-read that.

A license from a "District in Columbia" is not valid for travel.
"District in Columbia", "District of Columbia", it's all the same, amiright? 🧐 :p

President Petro isn’t the sharpest leader in the Western Hemisphere. In 2023, the U.S. accounted for 28% of the value of Colombia’s exports, more than any other trading partner, according to United Nations data.

Wobbly as well.

Documents viewed by The Wall Street Journal showed that the Petro government had approved the arrival of the two military flights. Petro also said on X, before the flights, that two planes with deported Colombians would be arriving at 6:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. and his government would “receive them with flags and flowers.”

Later in the morning, Petro said on X that he had ordered the return of the planes, suggesting that he had done so because they were military aircraft and criticizing the use of handcuffs on the deported Colombians. “We will receive our countrymen on commercial planes, without them being treated like criminals,” he wrote. Just minutes after Trump said he would impose tariffs, Petro’s office said the government would make the presidential plane available to ferry back the Colombians who were to have been deported Sunday.

Consumers will already be paying more for goods because of our President.

The number 1 issue for Americans has been inflation and price of goods.

Less than a week.

And business will be impacted immediately.

The dude could've literally cleared this up with a phone call.
