I've started writing a story about an Eyes Wide Shut party. A guy takes a break up hard. When at a friend she tries to cheer him up, where a throw away comment leads to her finding out he hasn't seen the movie Eyes Wide Shut. After watching it together they talk about broadening their sexual horizon, as they are very 'vanilla' in that respect. The idea of going to such party interests them as the ultimate way to anonymously expand their horizon. As they do not know where any such party is or how to get invited, they fantasise about making their own. Who better to invite than your very own friends? In a way that (nearly) no one knows it?

The idea sticks, getting more and more serious shape as the guy starts to obsess about it. He knows he's putting too much effort into it, but it helps him greatly in getting over the break up.

Eventually they'll agree to go ahead with the plan, as it seems financially possible at first. There will be some problems rearing their head, unexpected twists and turns that threaten the plan. Couples need convincing, locations chosen, and entertainment fixed. During the event they relish what they have wrought on their friends, though it all comes to a surprising end when finally people realise that they know everyone there and that they aren't some lucky people invited to an super exclusive lavish party.

At first it is about the struggles of their limited sexual experiences, growing with the idea of leading such a massive event. They are not ready, but 'fake it untill you make it' applies. The road to the party full with interpersonal tensions and practical problems to solve, as well as the dynamics of the party itself.

What I'm curious for are ideas for the party itself. How will so many friends, not knowing they all know each other, react at the party? With voice modulators in the masks and suggestions how to cover identifying traits they could be relatively anonymous. A couple or two might know of each other, but keep up the ruse for the rest. A few might recognise others, but because of a staged event at the start no one dares to say anything at first. The numbers might be padded by asking a lot of people from the university/associations they sort of know. It opens a lot of options for sexual dynamics that normally wouldn't happen.

The road to the party is relatively thought out, but growth comes from interaction. So ideas about that are still welcome. I'll jot them all down. I notice that even the ideas I do not use still enhance the story in that way.

I'm not sure that there is much mileage in restricting the party to this "circle of friends" who all know each other. There will have to be a lot of friends in order for it to be a "massive event" and it leads to all your problems with disguise and "voice modulators".

To ease matters, I personally would go with a relatively small number of friends who come up with the original idea. The proposal would then be for people to invite "acquaintance" couples of the right age group who would then also have the right to invite, say, two or three more couples each. A ripple effect. Eventually you would have forty or fifty couples all ready to play the game.

Of course, if your actual aim is for couples who know each other to split and fuck, that's a different matter.

I would set this in a local hotel. They rent out the top floor. It has a party room with a dance floor and food and another twenty suites for people to spread out in. The rooms have a green/yellow/red sign on the doors. If green is lit, the room is unoccupied. Yellow - occupied, but more is welcome, and red - stay out.

Condoms and lube made available in every room, along with some tasty libations and bottled water, towels, etc. This is a fun idea.

That is why it probably isn't restricted! I thought about 90 people in the end that they invite, padding the numbers with people from campus. I'll take your suggestion and will make it mandatory though.

The disguises I'm still struggling a bit. The robes, masks and voice modulators are great at the start, but the robes are (partially) removed later. That being said, it's fiction in the end. I've been told that all great stories can have one thing that isn't quite right. I did ease a lot of the problems by reducing the amount of couples to three, of which at the moment only one attends, though it might become more (one says yes, one says no, finds out where the other is going, jealousy, is intercepted by the organisers to a satisfactory deal)

The ripple effect can be great, though anonymity is currently still a pillar in the story. It is the power that comes from going so far out of their own comfort zone, mixed with the power over others through the party. If it isn't anonymous and they know fully what they are signing up for, it might lose that edge. Still might work if I need to change it and they'll be in charge for the games themselves. I've added it.

The couples are only interesting to me in their roles to add flavour to the story. That flavour can come in many ways, like swinging or that kind of stuff. If you have any good ideas for those I'm all ears, as I haven't written anything like that ever.

The experienced vs inexperienced could add a lot. They could utilise the coworkers to both pad the numbers as well as make sure everyone new to it knows what to do.

I have been thinking about the ex a lot. She can provide closure to the story. Though the problem is that she can do it by not being there. My own idea if I do include her is that she's been invited by the other organiser. It is tempting to have them bang one more time, but it's probably better that they just talk and they bang their separate ways. The build up to him heving sex with another the ultimate payoff, completing his journey to leave his ex behind. I know I might go a bit more heavy on the lit than the erotica, but so be it.

The hotel I'm not feeling yet. It doesn't have the elegance of a manor or castle, nor the privacy it provides. Can you sell it to me? I'm curious to your side.

I hate planning and logistics. If I ask my significant other to talk dirty, they'll just tell me the grocery list and what bag to get. Ironically I found that I'm good at it if I put my mind to it, so the last few years I've been a designated organiser of the large events. Truthfully, a year too late to organise the kinky party at my student association.

No doodle polls! Invites to half a year in the future, and expect them to make room! How often are you invited to a secret high society sex party? Still a lot of work to get everyone there and to get them to behave as if they are mingling with masked sirs and princesses of the world. That they then pork.

Hmm. I was assuming our MCs were not crazy wealthy so if the guests buy in, a hotel would be obvious. Maybe somewhere tropical. A manor is a fun idea. Somewhere remote perhaps. Perhaps the MCs inherit such a place.

I want to add a song based on 'Fever' from Peggy Lee, so it would've been nice to add audio too. I don't know if I can write songs so it'll be interesting. The only way I can spruce up the spreadsheet is him furiously dreaming about the combinations he's drawing. We'll see what I can do. First maybe the other two stories I'm working on. I was hoping such things were available! So far I had 'makeup' and for a few maybe clothing, but in what capacity I wasn't sure. So far the best I could come up with was that one had slit her robe, so parts of her body flash in and out of the robe as she moves/is moved. That such professional stuff exists is great for the story.

A few couples knowing is now on the list. I can work with that!

As a not crazy wealthy person myself I have done some crazy wealthy things in my time. Gala at a true castle for example. I've also gone for trips with 20+ people with air bnb. You can get absolutely chongus locations for cheap, if everyone's putting in money. I just searched for 'entire home', 16+ people and then randomly went around the world. The Château Borgeat de Lagrange in France is a nice castle for 1650,- a night when I checked it. It isn't cheap by any means, but it is definitely attainable.

The story will probably realise that it becomes rather expensive regardless, but there is something saving their ass. New people are required to put in a fee as demonstration of their resolve. Everyone is new, so they can offset some of the costs. Only sending 45 bucks (what my gala in the castle cost!) is probably not screaming commitment and high elegance. Probably money isn't the only thing, so we can imagine some initiation of sending something that adds to their resolve. Which is another line of ideas I need to develop. Or maybe just gloss over so people don't think too much about it.
