Those boys will love our cuddles! Puppy pile!Actually you will fine, just fine in Scotland where profanity is used as a punctuation mark in some circles LoL Yes you must speak to @Lilianna23 about a trip….double the cuddles for my boys!
And we haven't gotten any in the lowlands of the PNW! Plenty in the mountains, tho!Good morning cafe dwellers. It’s brrr - 5 F this morning. Windchill in the -20.
I am taxiing grandchildren this morning to day care unless notification of closing comes in.
Be safe if in the cold and stay home if you got the snow in southern USA. My daughter in NOLA got 8 inches!
Abso-fuckin-lutely!When I was growing up, it was relatively rare to hear women swearing. But they were still, to a large extent, expected to be seen and not heard. As equality has become more established, every woman I know, with the exception of my mother, swears regularly. Some as much as I do!
Progress?
"Skunks to snow owls!"Yep.... I just need to find my victories in a different way and stop expecting skunks to turn in to snow owls
You'll be fine. Just remember your goal...Best wishes for you.
It's making me think a bit about tackling the new gig. I think we'll be okay, but there be people there.
People have Bad Days sometimes and react badly accordingly.

For some reason, when I drive profanity flows from my mouth like a river! So when I was in HS I almost flunked English (how could I almost flunk my mother tongue?). However I’m quite fluent in redneck and I hold an advanced degree in profanity. If you’ve ever driven anywhere with me you’ll quickly learn how fluent I am.
Quite right! It's just not OK to drop out of an obligation at the last minute then try to micromanage others to whom you've offloaded your responsibility.People not doing their jobs… or being pussies. Venting session.
I’m hosting a virtual panel on Friday for 1000+ salespeople with five experts. We also had the marketing project manager who will go over marketing materials. She was supposed to also moderate the panel and the questions. After several days of deliberation, yesterday, she said she didn’t think she was the right person to moderate the panel and that me or my boss would be the more appropriate person!
I (and my boss) happened to have all day meetings yesterday and also worked till 9pm
Working on documentation and slides. I was also in meetings all day until lunchtime today.
In the meantime, she is IMing me today like every 10 fucking minutes. “ have you sent the questions to the panelists”
I just called her on teams and read her the fucking riot act. Just because she says she’s a fucking marketing project manager, she’s got a break out of her comfort zone. OR she has to give us more fucking notice if she’s gonna drop the ball.
“Your lack of confidence is not my emergency.”
I don’t have any time or patience for pussies. I don’t mind developing people and helping them grow, but not when they’re gonna take the cowards way out.
Venting is done. Now back to your regular programming.
And what would be the duties of the "farm workers?" Asking for a friend, of course!I think it could be done on the sly.
Even if not fully legal, it’d be hard to prove. Since it’s a farm we are technically allowed to have accommodations for farm workers.”
I’m sure we could charge the “farm workers” rent.
I hope you and your dr find an answer!Just getting blasted with something. Been fighting an extra special dose of whatever I've been dealing with for the last few years. Can't sit at my desk for more than a few hours. Tried a light workout to shake this loose, nothing seems to be working. Low dose of steroids doesn't seem to be helping right now. Have a Dr appointment tomorrow, so we'll see if she has any new ideas.
Getting to the point I'm ready to jump in the truck and start driving until I find a place I feel better. Really running out of ideas...
Anyway...Hope you all have a good night.
Good night.
I love this, RJ!
Oh, gosh, D! Glad you were able to get the hip replacement. It should last you a good long time!If it makes you feel better . . . I had a hip issue. My body was producing a chemical that my body was rejecting. It was eating away at the hip joint and bone. I ended up having to surgeries to fix / stop this from happening. All it really did was slow the process down. Long story short, i soon had stage 4 arthritis on one hip. It was bone on bone and would knock / pop loudly when I walked. Well the BIG fix was having my hip replaced. The good thing about it all was this issue didn't travel to other parts of the body. I dealt w/ it for 16 yrs before I got it replaced. Almost sorry I didn't do it sooner but at my age, I'll just wear this 1 out sooner than later. Can only get 2 replacements in a lifetime. Yay me. Isn't getting old just the greatest????
I think I definitely NEED some of those!!!I.brought 2 pair with sparkle ruffle cuffs.... we need to be famcy
I see. I'm glad you got them there safely!Day cares were open. My grandchildren are too young for public school.
The cold was not too bad! But the wind chill was brutal![]()
Retirement turns out to be busy. Friday is now my day to be with my granddaughterGood morning divers and divas. To those still working, thank fuck it's Friday! To those who are retired, it's Friday.

We are in the same. I got up to 23 yesterday and it actually felt warm.Good morning. On cup 2. Finally back to normal winter temperatures in the mid 20s. Seems like a heat wave.

I went to Home Depot yesterday and there were a lot of people there complaining, to no one in particular about how cold it was. It was in the 40s. I did have my flannel jeans, wool socks and a lined hoodie on. I guess most life time FL residents don't have all the warm clothing. The lady I followed in to the store from the parking lot complained all the way.We are in the same. I got up to 23 yesterday and it actually felt warm.
Damn, that was quite a cold snap!
I always got the most work done going in early before everyone was there and the interruptions began. I did a lot of programming and I would shut my door, people knew I would be in a not so good mood if interupted. I unplugged the phone.Have a great day today all.
False flight of meetings, I have to do the webinar and I need to plan a trip to Hartford the second and fourth weeks of February.
Starting work early today, because I need to cut out a bit early to get my real ID (as opposed to my fake one???) and I’m finishing off the day with a massage! (Like a real one)
The real ID appointments require several months advance notice.
My grandmother would say "sugar". We all knew what she meant.Abso-fuckin-lutely!![]()
I know I’m a weirdo and all over the place, but sometimes I like being very social at work, (like yesterday my boss was a chatty Cathy) and other times I have to bury myself in a conference room and do what you did so there’s no distractions, and knock shit out.I always got the most work done going in early before everyone was there and the interruptions began.
