I always pondered that my older sister was really good at piano as a kid. I doubt I heard her play any instrument after 14 years old.
I was a musician practically from birth. I started on the piano at 6. Eleven years later I started learning both bass and guitar.
My brother is over 10 years younger, and he was able to learn music, after lessons from a pro. Not saying my sister or I didn’t have lessons, we had plenty.
Most of my musical growth, occurred after setting out on my own.
