Unlike Donnie, she stands for something.

Convicted US Capitol rioter turns down Trump pardon

One of the people who served jail time for taking part in the US Capitol riot four years ago has refused a pardon from President Donald Trump, saying: "We were wrong that day."

Hemphill, who was nicknamed the "Maga granny" by social media users - in reference to Trump's "make America great again" slogan - said she saw the Trump government as trying to "rewrite history and I don't want to be part of that".

Ironically, by taking responsibility for her actions, she deserves a pardon more than any of the others.

I don't doubt that some really were misled by all the lies and disinformation. If they come to that realization and apologize I am willing to forgive their actions. Others knew the whole thing was a lie but didn't care. Those are the ones who deserve punishment.

I'll be honest, I expected most of those pardoned would turn it down.

I'm still fully engaged with the abuse of power position, but I'll be interested to hear from those pardoned and why they accepted their pardons, outside of the current political moment

Unless they are expressing remorse like Ms. Hemphill here, I’m not sure exactly what any of those pardoned could say that is enlightening. Maybe they could comment on her rejection of her pardon, but it’s not an opinion I personally care to hear. I would love to hear from the dating women, family members, and patriotic citizens who answered the pleas from law enforcement to out those violent prone criminals how they are feeling and their safety concerns.

You don't see why someone might have a comment about being pardoned for a crime when they didn't commit one? And you don't see that as important?

This is an odd perspective that I don't understand.

What exactly are you expecting a pardoned J6er to say that would add to political discourse?

Are you drawing a line between those already convicted and those who may be going through the judicial process and also those in the sights of law enforcement but not yet caught?

I'm discussing pardons and people who were given one for something they've never been accused or investigated or convicted of.

If someone gave you a pardon for crimes you haven't committed, would you have something to say about that?

If you think J6 was an insurrection, you're a histrionic bitch.
Anti-Constitution rioters violently storming the US Capitol. Occupying offices and political chambers. Causing lawmakers to flee and disrupting the Constitutional process of vote certification. Very very close to textbook insurrection if they had held the Capitol through arms.

Either way the worst of the worst enemies of America who should never be allowed to be forgotten. Only a true anti American scumbag would pardon these traitors.

But you already know that.

I am of the mindset that nothing along the whole spectrum of any of the varied responses would be enlightening unless it was in line with that of Ms. Hemphill’s. What are you expecting to be said that would shock/surprise you?

Histrionic bitch confirmed.

It was a mostly peaceful protest.

Not an insurrection.

You are so fucked in the head.

You come here and post 24/7 because you have no life. Everyone in the real world shuns you. Your mother reluctantly lets you sleep on an old mattress in the one corner of the basement that does not flood.

You can still change Shad. It is not too late even for incels like you.

So you can't described what I asked, I'm not surprised bobo.

You're not addressing the right person.

I'm not surprise you're so delusional and a histrionic bitch that can't use a fuckin' dictionary apparently..... Must be a leftoid.

You keep using the word "enlightening" and I'm unclear what that means.

When someone is pardoned and they've done nothing criminal or wrong in ethical or legal terms, their perspective is worthwhile to the public, Imo.

I'm not expecting anything to be said....I'm interested to hear their reactions to such a pardon.
