A. move to new job. pays more...like a lot more (like seriously, 40k more). does NOT pay for vacation time. potentially decently UNDERqualified and that poses some serious risk for sure. might be awesome experience to add to resume and new contacts and exposure etc. might have to use own laptop as opposed to being given one which would suck for checking email/lit/banking/spotify/youtube etc.. bigname client. been working on landing this job for about four months or so.

B. stay at current job. work on different project with different team. pay is still quite good just not elite. does pay vacation like a full-time job (not contract etc). last project didnt work out for variety of factors so maybe there is a "flag" in your file. new project sounds right up yer alley. work in a "silo" of sorts,s o you arent depending on tons of people which could be a good or bad thing.

A - I've been in both situations and in my experience, A offers a more positive long-term outcome. Though, who you would be working with and if the project is interesting are massive factors too.

one main issue is...its a contract. obviously the higher pay is tough to beat. its not a couple k, its 40! but i could be out of it in 6 months or something. so thats also something to consider.

A. 100% taking risk with the potential to build new resume and more pay especially your age is worth it. High risk decisions make a lot more sense when you're under 27, have no children, spouse etc. I say go for it.

New opportunities are always great. However money for sure isn't everything. Being happy in the job for sure is key and usually will trend to better opportunities in the future.
Depending on the team you will be working with. The past team sucked for you thus why you thought of moving? If the team is right then the job is great...
Will the new job possibly be open down the road if you get more experience? Seems your field has opportunities for growth which is wonderful.
Working with people that strive for success is wonderful. We all know working with people that complain and think they are above everyone sucks.....

A: you are of an age to take a little risk... especially when the potential reward is this high. As for being qualified, at those numbers, I think they pay whoever does the hiring decently as well to pick someone who is up for the job, and they picked you! Trust their judgement.
And pro tip... use a tiny fraction of that 40k to buy a decent work laptop .... we (read I) cannot miss your Lit updates ;)

Contracts are always higher than full-time, the income usually outweighs the loss in benefits. A potential in-between is consulting. You get a higher income but still get full-time benefits. Still plenty of downsides there too though.

I mean the fact that you " have been working on landing the job" means your subconscious mind really wants this but perhaps fear or obvious other things may be is holding you back...
the good thing is you are creative, young and have the world at your finger tips and you seem to be good at manifesting...
Your 20's are for exploring and taking risks some may say...
If it were me I'd choose A.💋
