Our snow is vanishing (praise the Lord), and the Weather man reckons is going to be 'temperatures in the low + for the next few days", which is encouraging.
Some coffee is well over-due and a much is definitely on order (it's lunchtime).

I do hope that the citizens of LA are OK.

It's a little late but there's a hot pot of coffee going and the teapot is hot for those who want a cuppa. There are cinnamon rolls on the counter for those who want a sugar hit.

We actually got above freezing for the first time in a week but we are expecting more snow on Monday. I'll be over in the corner so if you can't find anything, just give me a yell. I doubt you'll interfere with my writing because I'm not very productive at the moment ...

No writing happened yesterday so I'm really going to try to do some today.

The Wollenstonecraft writer I'm talking about wrote some awesome IR/NC stories that could make a stone sweat. Top notch pron. But this Wollenstonecraft never made it to Lit, I think she bowed out before Lit became a thing. Her work is hiding in niches and repositories around the internet, but with the death of ASSTR.org where most of her stuff was stored, it's hard to find. I saved a few of my favorites in .txt format... you know... for future generations.

Busy day today... Working on a final chapter for a story I started writing back in 2018. I have no idea how I'm going to close it but I know how I'm going to get to that final paragraph. Then, between furious bouts of writing, I worked on an electronic project I've been aching to try. It's mostly for soldering practice, a device that looks like a Christmas tree with 40 multi color LEDs that flash, and it plays Christmas music. I haven't raised a soldering iron in 30 years, back then I built a low powered FM Ham Radio transceiver. It worked for a couple of weeks before the smoke got out. This is much more complex. Lots of fun.

The only writing I've done this week is a set of contract documents and the specification.

It was still very satisfying to complete it, and I saved council about $20,000 by not using a consultant. Naturally I don't even get a hearty handshake.

I've got a fresh pot of coffee going but it was a pain cleaning the burnt coffee off the bottom of the pot. The teapot is hot for anyone who wants a cuppa. There are assorted teas next to the pot. Today, we have some baklava for those with a sweet tooth. Enjoy!
