Will this terrible tragedy in Cal turn Cal red?

This will be a good thread to re-visit when a disaster (natural, man-made, etc.) affects Deplorables in the future.

The rest of us will have license to gloat, and their crying about it will fall on deaf ears. ;)

^Lying Welsher.

Wanted to post this to a more serious non-bB thread.

A good interview with a Utah firefighter regarding the LA fires.

icant is another BB with marginally better spelling and grammar.

Just wanting to provide interesting discussion to people in some capacity and didn't want to have to create a new thread, especially when there are already existing threads on the topic. 👍

🙄

Could the dumb bitch and her parasitic reporter / camera crew be any more obvious about their right wing agenda to damage Gavin Newsom???

🤔

😑

Also:

Karma is going to fuck up every right wing POS with a political agenda that is trying to spin this UNPRECEDENTED wildfire as anything other than ANOTHER anthropogenic climate change related catastrophe.

And that ^ includes the POS that posted that link here on the PB.

👎
Gavin Newsome does enough damage to himself, so he doesn't need anyone else pointing out the obvious. If he thinks he will be president in 2028, will all but guarantee another 4 or 8 more years of a Republican in the White House. ANY Republican.

No goalpost move dopeass, we’re funding China’s pollution, promoting child labor and lining the pockets of the CCP while ignoring China’s genocide.
Fine, let's break off all trade with China. Total embargo.

No. we can't -- Wal-mart has an unofficial, extraconstitutional, but very real veto power.

People can basically skip to the 16:00 minute mark for the climate change connection. The increasing occurrence of “cut-off” (stationary) fronts that are contributing to massive fires AND floods are undoubtedly due to climate change affecting the jet stream, imho.

🤬

No, the government needs to stop imposing ridiculous climate change mandates and energy policies that are bankrupting the less fortunate and will not solve global warming.

Explain this please. Bankrupting the less fortunate how?
Wait... Are you gonna repeat the "China doesn't care so why should we?" Dodo Bird going over a cliff explaination?

High energy cost dipstick!!

We care about our planet but shouldn't destroy our economy over feel good pie in the sky bullshit. Let the markets decide when and how we proceed. Energy consumption is going to sky rocket over the next ten years due to A/I and other technologies and the only way to presently meet the demand is fossil fuels. Until we make a commitment to nuclear and other forms of power we're caught between a rock and a hard place.

Windmills and solar panels can't produce grid type energy production. Both have negative effects on our ego systems. EVs, panels and windmills have a high carbon footprint and poisonous waste streams.

China has made a commitment to nuclear.

Sit down, traitor.
You did not answer. Don't know shit. STFU.

Good, I realize that, but that doesn't alleviate the fact that they are opening of two coal fire plants a week.
That was 2023. They've reduced that by over 80% and likely will slow even more. Not to mention many will be shuttered once nuclear comes online....they've also built more solar and wind than any country in the world in 2024.

ineedhelp1 "thinks" China is “opening of two coal fire plants a week” (nice grammar, btw).

😑

Ya know, I bought a gas stove the other day and was charged a $300 surcharge for not going electric. That's bullshit.
You mean to tell me that you watch Fox News, you know that the dems are coming for your gas stove, AND you live in the bluey, blue state of Assachusetts, but you YOU were the one to tempt fate and still go gas to thumb your nose at... what?
