Good morning. Says it's 29 here in the sprawling metropolis of nowhere Mississippi. It was colder than normal in the basement this morning. I should have worn a jacket for my workout. *Cough, sniffle, ugh
Pod coffee of the snickers variety and muscle milk for cream substitute are the "cats meow" as I wait for the house to wake up and the day to start.

If in arrears, could make driving for a shower an expensive outing. Those that write tickets love issuing that one b/c of the sticker shock.

In Ohio all school taxes and property taxes are waived for residents at age 70 who are retired with no income. Ain't being a senior & retired great...

Morning as it it doesn’t sound good to Wat or OM. No power, cold, and no drinking water is a crap way to start the day. I am assuming MissK and RJ have dug out of the snow dumped on them yesterday.

I have taxi duty today. It’s just cold out and will be that way for the next week or so. It’s winter in Michigan.

I'm good. I got dug out with only one misshap...I slipped on ice and fell in a snow pile. I'm OK
I have to take Mrs Rj to the chiropractor around noon today so I'll be leaving soon.

Thanks for the welcome. And "yes" it's a good comfortable fit.
That being said the bacon is done (mmmm, bacon!) and bagged up for snacks, *my clothes folded (wife folds like a lumberjack knits), moms eating breakfast and the kids are done with school.
Time to head to town for supplies before the weather gets bad and to visit the docs office to straighten out Mom's meds schedule.

How long does a outage typically last?

Well happens too often here. And this was about 4 1/2 hours. Of course bitter cold out which doesn't help. 3,800 without power at one time down to 1,600 now.

My that's not good. We were out three days once I said enough of that I wired in a generator. Enough for lights fridges and furnace.... Seems infrastructure has suffered not kept up

Good thing you had a snow pile to cushion your fall. We've had next to nothing for snow this year - and what we did get has mostly been washed away by freezing rain over Christmas.

Good you're getting on top of the meds schedule.
It can get tricky if certain meds need to be taken with or apart certain other meds, supplements, or foods.

The last 1.5 days for her were trying and painful, but she was in hospice and getting morphine and an anti anxiety med, so that helped. I was with her at the end…

Anyway - just wanted to let you all know too. No arrangements, just a few memorials. Thanks all for your understanding, love and support, good vibes, prayers, and well wishes.

It meant a lot to me and Mrs Wonderer. (I couldn’t exactly tell my sisters and daughter that the literotica crew were thinking of us… )

I'm very sorry for your loss. But it's my thought that she's in a much better place. One without pain, turmoil, or strife. The ones passing before her preparing for her arrival, making sure that everything's just right and she can be rejoined by them. As she and they start preparing for the ones to follow. I've often thought that living our lives is truly serving penance for what our futures hold. Know that she and all your family will be in our thoughts, and prayers.
