What Have You Learned About Yourself Recently??

I'm ok with turning 50.

I'm not ok with the notion that I'm "old" and all the negative connotations that come with it. Whilst I'm still breathing and able to move, I'm going to keep embracing life as I desire, not as society expects.
I think I’m tracking this. I’m fifty. I have my aches. But I also feel like I’ve got all the zest and wonder for life I’ve ever had. Fuck society. Be your best you.

I learned about myself is I’m going to have to get out of my head if I want to do what I really want to do.

I'm a big advocate of embracing the fear and taking the leap, when it's something you want to do or try. And I'm also a huge advocate of not letting peer pressure make those decisions. Yes, I'll happily (with fear) try a sky dive. No, I'll never be convinced to do a bungee jump. 🤣

Hehe see I think I’d take the bungee jump over the sky dive.

Although that bungee snaps back, doesn’t it?

And what about sky ballet??

Aw man now I want to do both.

Shouldn’t you be, though? Isn’t that part of being human?
Or are you hoarding all the peanut M&M’s for yourself? 🤔🤣
I struggle with being selfish, I blame being raised in the Catholic church, gotta feel guilty about everything!

And it's not the peanut M&M's I'm keeping for myself... 😏👀

I'm old and my body keeps telling me I'm getting older. Now strangers are volunteering to grab a shopping cart for me when I go to the store after seeing me mosey along walking from my car. The worst part? I sometimes accept their offer...

Today I learned that I can get too whimsical and don't always pay enough attention to the impact of how I behave.

I do not like the cold. I have lived in cold places for almost 2 decades now. Still haven’t gotten “used to it” I want it to be like 73 degrees (Fahrenheit) in the day and like 65 at night.

I've learned the old saying is true that you never get a second chance to make a first impression.
You may never be able to retract that first impression. But you can change people's opinions of you. It just takes time and effort and sincerity, to show who you actually are.

This is NOT the lit way. You’re supposed to proclaim your controversial opinion loudly and proudly. Disputing all evidence to the contrary and eventually insisting that everyone that does not agree with you is a nazi.
Hahaha good point.
I think i forgot I was in the workplace and not on lit when I thought it was a good idea to open my mouth.
