I have attempted to publish a story a few times and have gone over all of the guidelines. I cannot find a single thing that would force my story to be sent back and would love some assistance with this.
Thank you so much.

I've only had one story sent back, but it came with an explanation. Laurel thought I was writing an unauthorized sequel to someone else's story. I explained that I was just using some general concepts of the other writer's, with permission, and it was published on my second try.

Didn't your rejection(?) come with an explanation?

The site has a set of generic rejection notices which cover the main rejection issues - dialogue punctuation and basic formatting, adherence to the content policies, no AI, etc... Most of them are in the form of a set of questions. Address the questions, make changes as required (or argue your case that you don't need to) and resubmit the story. Add a Note to the Editor to indicate what you've done.

You have to critically examine your story content - sometimes it can be a single sentence that's been found (most likely by a simple word-bot looking for key combinations for words) that's triggering a rejection.

There is always a reason given for the rejection, but rarely anything specific to your story - you have to find the detail and figure it out.

Tell us what the notice says, and someone will be able to assist. You've not given us enough information.
