The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I think it depends on the person who did the cheating, and why they did it. Some cheat because they're assholes, and some get caught up in emotional or other things that sneak up on them.

I used to think that it wasn't possible, but the more time I spend here and the more people I talk to, the more I believe that nothing is absolute. I've talked to people on both sides of the cheating thing, and there are so many nuisances that it really depends on the person and the situation.

I've come to believe in some situations it can destroy a relationship, and in others albeit rare, it can strengthen it. But, again it really depends on the people involved.

Sometimes recognizing the good in a relationship or in another person can be hard when trust is broken, especially when self protection instinct is to shut down and run away.

If that's the way the person feels, it is a perfectly valid way to feel.

There isn't a set script on how something like that needs to or should progress. It's about processing those feelings and emotions, and deciding what the best path foreword is. For everyone going through that, the path and results will be different. All of those possibilities (ok, assuming not murder!) are valid and acceptable.

I think it's possible to forgive and trust again, but certainly not everyone can, will, or should do so.

Thanks, some winters I’m fine, other ones esp when I’m flaring like now, but do good.
Feet are toasty, wearing some ugh like boots as slippers, also a sweater.
I realized from the Christmas food post, that I forgot to eat, so defrosting send. I didn’t have Xmas dinner this year. Where I usually go for the past almost 30yrs, is in hospice and I can’t go over there at present. I hope to at least visit soon.
For food I’m having left over chili, a bit of Christmas sausage, cooked zuchini, cucumber salad with goat cheese.
That sounds good Noor. Hope you get some sustenance and are able to stay warm!

I’m sorry your friend or restaurant owner is in hospice. 😕

Good morning cafe denizens!

Here is an update from our dear Lili:

She has been sick and the recovery is taking longer than hoped. But she is getting better and completely focusing on her health. There is no need to worry and let’s keep sending her our best!
That’s good to hear and know. I was worried.
