First, on behalf of myself and the rest of the 1.4 billion of peace-loving Chinese people, the sincerest Merry Xmas to all friends from all over the world!
Next, something about time difference, it is hard for us to be sure whether it was Dec 7 or 8 that the Pearl Harbor took place.
Then, something funny. Former Chinese leader Mao was born on Dec 26, 1893, if considering time difference, he could have been born on the same day of Jesus.
But his mystery did not stop here. He named his bodyguard troops No. 8341 when he stayed in Beijing. Many years later people found out that 83 is the number of years of his age from 1893 to 1976 and that 41 is the years he was in real power since 1935 when he was elected the head of the Red Army. In his revolutionary career of nearly 30 years, while engaging in numerous small and big armed battles with the ruling KMT government, the Japanese troops, he did not fire even a shot from a gun and was not put into prison for even once. He did not even get any hurt. How amazing! In the meantime, his close comrade who later became the Prime Minister Zhou Enlai broke his own arm falling off a horse and his (Mao's) son, under heavy protection, was killed by the US-led UN forces during the Korean War.
Things are hard to be accounted for.
