Member search does not work

After you select your options and press search, there are never any results.

Response time was about half a second. Firefox on Linux, for what it's worth.

Didn’t there used to be a search where you could specify that you are looking for members whose profiles included “Wisconsin” ?

I don’t believe the members search ever allowed for searching profiles. It searches usernames.

Look up one message from yours. You can search several fields in the profiles, but not a free text search.

That's the forum search. You need to search the main site. Go to, say, the Stories page and you should see the correct search listed on the page. Click that, then Members, then Advanced.

The forum search is totally different from the story/poem/member/movies/shop search.

Ah, I see. I’ve never needed to search the story side, so hadn’t encountered that.

Huh.

The search won't find anything if you leave the "Username contains" field blank. That's not how I would design the search form, but I'm not Manu. Using a "*" (no quotes) wildcard gives 55 pages of results for Wisconsin.

I've been a systems administrator and software product manager in my career. Once you supervise inexperienced developers (like I did), you learn to expect weird interface bugs.
